Sam Oh is an interdisciplinary artist based in Seoul and Chicago. 

Sam’s work consists of forms from architectural surroundings that are visually distorted and isolated from the original context to generate a constant shift of meaning. In her painting and sculptural practice, surface is a vehicle for information that has multiple understandings, sometimes contradictory like the way images can be present but sometimes absent. The result is that hesitation is part of the work of creating images and seeks for potential despite the physical presence.
